About Uganda
Uganda is located in East Africa, surrounded by Kenya to the East, Sudan to the North, Democratic Republic of Congo to the West, and Rwanda and Tanzania to the South.
Although Uganda is a land-locked country, there is a large body of water to the Southeast. This is the famous Lake Victoria, the largest lake in all of Africa and also the source of the Nile.
Uganda has severed as the front lines for one of East Africa’s most brutal wars. After two decades of civil war that left nearly 2 million people displaces, the country has entered the rebuilding stages.
I will be living and working in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda and also the largest with a population of 1.2 million people. Touch the World also has ministry projects in the Northern district of Gulu. This area has been affected under a twenty-two year civil war and is now in the process of peace and rehabilitation.
